Tu B’shevat is the Holiday of Trees, yet it falls at the end of January when the trees around here are bare and the last place you want to be is outside. As the “New Year of Trees,” the holiday marks the beginning of nature’s revival, so what better way to celebrate than with a feast of nature’s bounty in a warm and cozy place? Those who participate in a Tu B’shevat seder will eat at least 15 different types of fruits and vegetables. It is also customary to include the seven species mentioned in the Torah: wheat, barley, grapes, figs, pomegranates, olives and dates. This is going to be one, interesting menu! Come and join us as we learn, celebrate, and enjoy a delicious meal in the Jewish tradition of TTu B’shevat!

Cost: $5 suggested donation

Reservations are a must by Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019 to Julie LeFever at 330-835-0027 or jlefever@shawjcc.org
