Today our community gathers, virtually, to commemorate Yom HaShoah and to once again commit to Never Forget those who have perished at the pernicious hands of unbridled hatred and bigotry. Through our remembrance, we will also be reminded of the remarkable determination and resiliency of the Jewish people.
We - the Jewish people - have survived every attempt at our extermination. We endure because our goal has never been to merely survive, rather it has been continued growth and the generational succession of our people. Our drive to accomplish this goal is the factor for which our enemies cannot account. Just as every action has an equal and opposite reaction; their vicious anti-Semitic attacks only serve to make us more resolute, more determined, and more focused on achieving our goal.
On this Yom HaShoah, let us once again declare that we will never forget those who have perished and the systematic hatred that brought about their demise. It is through their revered, collective memory that we remain steadfast in our inexhaustible drive for strength and vitality, from generation to generation - L'dor v'Dor.
