Inside the Shaw JCC: A new year, a new look

By Eric Goldstein
Shaw JCC Executive Director

The new year signals a time of renewal, and that is certainly the case for the Shaw JCC. Just visiting the Schultz Campus, you have noticed the “make-over” transforming the exterior, as well as the progress of the indoor pool renovation.

The indoor pool is on the cusp of completion and promises to be an amazing space for all

members. Our newly renovated locker rooms are also nearly done, and members will enjoy the luxurious saunas and steam room.  Thank you for your patience during this time of construction!
You will also notice a fresh new look when you visit our revamped website (www.shawjcc.org) to learn about the many winter programs we offer.

Even though winter is upon us, we are already preparing for summer; Early Bird Camp Registration is now available online.  Under the leadership of new Youth & Camp Director Laura Roberts, summer camp offers fun and imaginative ways for your kids to explore and be creative.

Roberts rounds out the new Shaw JCC leadership team, which includes Roberta Kleinman, Membership & Marketing Director, and Kathy Klein, Early Childhood Education Director. This new synergy complements the physical renewal of the space here at the J, as well as the ways our brand has evolved.

As always, at the Shaw JCC, our strength is our community. We aim to build on that each day, as we welcome members—new and old--and offer quality programs and services. Our renewal brings possibilities and will enable the J to be a home for all those who enter our doors.

I wish everyone a very happy and healthy new year in 2015!

We invite you to please stop in and meet our staff, tour our newly reconstructed indoor pool and Live Up at the J! If you have any questions please call me anytime at 330-835-0021.
