We’re sorry; Community Letter Addendum

Dear Friends,

We sincerely apologize for unintentionally omitting one of the most important partners on our campus and in our community - Jewish Family Services - from yesterday’s communication.

In our haste to continue to communicate and ensure everyone remains informed about our future, this important acknowledgment was regrettably overlooked.

For decades, Jewish Family Services has provided compassionate care, guidance, and critical support to individuals and families throughout both the Jewish and greater Akron communities. From counseling and senior support services to food assistance, case management, refugee services, and so much more, Jewish Family Services plays an essential role in strengthening the fabric of our community and improving countless lives.

As we continue conversations about the future of our campus and our agencies, we want to be clear that we deeply value Jewish Family Services, its leadership, staff, volunteers, and the extraordinary impact they make every single day, and they are an integral part of our future plans.

We are grateful for our partnership with Jewish Family Services and for the many ways they help fulfill our shared mission of caring for and supporting our community.

Thank you for your understanding and thank you for continuing to be part of these important conversations.

With appreciation,

Judi Shapiro
