This year, for the first time in the community’s history, the annual gala will benefit three Jewish agencies on campus: Shaw JCC of Akron, The Lippman School and Jewish Family Service. This year's theme is Champagne & Chocolate, and the event will be held on Saturday, Nov. 1.
“I’m thrilled about the opportunity to bring the loyal constituency base that Jewish Family Service has to support the Campus Gala. I believe that as a community we are stronger together and I look forward for this historic event,” says Richard Zelin, president of the board of JFS.
“There’s a tremendous amount of energy that happens each year at the Gala, says Andrew Mirman, president of the board of the Shaw JCC. “It is inspiring to see the amount of support that we receive from the community – whether it’s the wonderful sponsors, the tireless volunteers and staff, or the loyal patrons of this event. I look forward to recognizing this year’s honorees Dr. Richard Hirsh along with Marc and Sharon Merklin and thanking them for all they do for our community.”
Trish Crane, co-president of The Lippman’s School board concurs, “It is great to have all three agencies now involved in the benefit starting this year. This genuinely reflects the collaborative approach being utilized on campus, which allows us to be stronger as a whole.”
Purchase your ticket today! Tickets are $125 before Oct. 15. After Oct. 15, they will cost $150, subject to availability.
